Capabilities we bring to your engagement, not RunForge certifications.

Built on real-world experience

RunForge is a new brand built on senior delivery experience across Kubernetes operations, cloud platforms, and production AI systems. The promise is straightforward: senior engineers, clear scope, and a handover your team can keep running.

AWSGCPAzure

Multi-cloud coverage

Patterns and operating models across AWS, GCP, and Azure for both platform and AI workloads.

Senior-led delivery

The engineers you meet in discovery stay accountable through delivery, documentation, and handover.

Melbourne / AEST coverage

Work that lines up with Australian business hours, with straightforward overlap across New Zealand and APAC teams.

Documentation-first handover

Runbooks, architecture records, and operating notes live in your repository so knowledge does not walk out the door.

How we engage

Senior help that matches the stage you're in

We keep the model simple: fixed-scope starts, senior engineers throughout, and a handover your team can actually keep running.

Model 1

Fixed-scope projects

Assessments, migrations, cluster rescue work, and AI implementation with a clear scope, timeline, and deliverable.

Model 2

Managed services

Ongoing support for Kubernetes platforms that need upgrades, monitoring, and operational continuity without hiring a full platform team.

Model 3

Advisory retainer

Regular architecture input, design review, and escalation support when you want senior guidance without handing over operations.

Sound familiar?

These are the problems that stall delivery and burn team trust.

We keep the diagnosis simple: stabilise what hurts, tighten the operating model, and make the next step obvious for your team.

Platform engineering

The platform work everyone feels, but nobody owns

These are the delivery and reliability issues teams bring into the first call.

1

Your cloud bill keeps climbing

You are paying for resources you do not need. Savings Plans feel like gambling. Nobody knows which team is spending what.

2

Deployments are terrifying

Your CI/CD is duct tape. Rollbacks are manual. “GitOps” means “git push and pray.”

3

One incident from disaster

No runbooks. Outdated docs. The person who built it left. You are not sure what is running in prod.

AI services

AI is moving faster than your controls and infrastructure

The experiments are happening. The problem is getting them production-ready safely.

1

Your team uses AI tools with zero controls

Prompts head offshore, there is no audit trail, and no one has drawn the line between safe experimentation and compliance risk.

2

You have no path from prototype to production

Demos look great, but there is no owner for the infrastructure, security model, or operational plan behind them.

3

Your platform team is already underwater

The same people firefighting today are being asked to stand up private models, agents, and automation tomorrow.

We turn this into a fixed-scope assessment, a remediation roadmap, and infrastructure your engineers can keep running after we hand it over.

After the work lands

What your team looks like after working with us

Deployments take 3 minutes and nobody worries

A cloud bill that makes your CFO smile

AI tools rolled out to every engineer in a week

Models hosted on your infrastructure, not someone else’s

Your platform team builds, not firefights

Two ways we help

Choose the first fixed-scope engagement that matches the problem in front of you. Both paths stay senior-led and end with a clear handover.

Your data stays in Australian infrastructure by default

Australian privacy law imposes conditions on cross-border disclosure of personal information. Regulated industries face additional requirements under the SOCI Act 2018 and APRA CPS 234. Self-hosted AI deployments run in Australian cloud regions by default. If you choose provider-hosted tooling or broader APAC deployment, we document that exception before rollout.

Australian cloud regions as standard

All deployments use Australian regions (Sydney, Melbourne) by default. We also support New Zealand, Singapore, and broader APAC where your compliance requirements allow.

VPC isolation

Models run inside your network. No shared tenancy.

Audit-ready compliance documentation

Every deployment includes a compliance pack.

Regulatory references are provided for general awareness. Specific obligations depend on your entity type and classification. Consult your legal and compliance team for advice specific to your situation.

Why teams choose RunForge

RunForge is a small senior-led team for organisations that need platform and AI infrastructure work done properly, documented clearly, and handed over without drama.

Melbourne-based, serving Australia, New Zealand, and APAC with work that is ready during your business hours and documented for the team you already have.

AEST timezone advantage

Same-day responses during your business hours, and work ready for your morning standup instead of landing overnight from the other side of the world.

Senior engineers, start to finish

We keep a limited client roster. The people you meet in discovery stay accountable through delivery, handover, and the operational details that usually get dropped.

Continuity by design

We leave your team with systems they can actually own.

Every engagement produces documented runbooks, architecture records, and operational playbooks in your repository. AI projects include model deployment notes and prompt libraries. Managed services clients also get dedicated backup engineer coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Pricing & billing

You pay your cloud provider directly. We operate on a BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) model. Your account, your infrastructure costs. Our fee covers management and consulting services only. This keeps things transparent and means you're never locked in.

Every project gets a fixed-price proposal after a 30-minute discovery call. We scope based on cluster count, configuration complexity, compliance needs, and timeline. No hourly billing, no surprises. You know the total before any work begins.

3 months. This covers onboarding and gives us enough time to demonstrate value. After that, 30 days notice to cancel or change tiers. Annual prepayment gets you a 10% discount.

That's what the Advisory Retainer is for. $3,500–$5,000/month gets you 8–12 hours of on-call architecture advice, Slack access, and a monthly review call, all senior-led. Strategic guidance without operational responsibility.

Technical

We work across EKS, GKE, and AKS. Our GitOps methodology and tooling are cloud-agnostic by design. Whether you're on AWS, GCP, or Azure, the architecture patterns and operational practices we implement work identically across providers.

Cluster configuration, security posture, GitOps maturity, cloud cost analysis, and architecture review, all in one engagement. You get a single detailed report with a prioritised remediation roadmap and ROI case for recommended next steps.

We manage the cluster (upgrades, node groups, networking, autoscaling) and platform components (ingress, cert-manager, monitoring). You manage your applications and deployment workflows. GitOps tooling (Argo CD) is included in the Premium tier, and available as an add-on for Essential and Professional.

RunForge is not SOC2 Type II or ISO 27001 certified. We operate with compliance-aware practices: CIS Kubernetes benchmarks, Pod Security Standards, network policies, and secrets management as standard. For teams pursuing SOC2 or ISO 27001, we provide evidence-ready documentation, control implementation support, and auditor-friendly architecture records.

Working with us

Yes. Most work is remote. Being based in Melbourne/AEST makes collaboration straightforward across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC, with overlap that works for engineering teams operating in local business hours.

All work is led by senior RunForge engineers. On-call coverage is provided by vetted team members briefed on your environment and held to the same bar before touching anything. No offshore. Work is never handed off without your knowledge.

Every engagement produces documented runbooks, architecture decision records, and operational playbooks, all committed to YOUR repository, not ours. Managed services clients have dedicated backup engineer coverage. Knowledge is never siloed in one person.

If an assessment does not surface a clear set of high-priority next steps, we refund the fee.

Senior engineers do the work. Not juniors supervised by the person who sold the deal. Pricing is fixed per engagement, so the scope is clear before delivery starts. Everything we build comes with knowledge transfer — runbooks, architecture docs, and operational playbooks — so your team can run it without us. We're Melbourne-based, which makes collaboration straightforward for Australian teams.

Week 1 is discovery. We get access to your clusters, codebases, CI pipelines, and existing documentation. Most engagements start with a Platform Assessment during this phase. Week 2, we start shipping. You'll see the first deliverables and a clear plan for what comes next.

You do. Custom code, configurations, and documentation built for you are yours once paid for. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools and frameworks only. Full details are in section 5 of our terms of service.

RunForge is a new brand, so we don't have a long client list to point to yet. The engineers behind it have years of delivery experience across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. We're happy to walk through relevant past work on the initial call. If you want a lower-risk starting point, begin with an assessment and use the output to decide what comes next.

AI Services

Self-hosted AI deployments run in Australian cloud regions by default. If you choose provider-hosted tooling or broader APAC deployment, we document that exception before rollout. Some developer tools and workflow platforms are provider-hosted and may send telemetry or prompt data to their vendors. We help you evaluate those flows and keep exceptions explicit.

Only if you explicitly choose to. Our default recommendation is self-hosted inference using vLLM or Ollama on Australian infrastructure. If you want to use a hosted API, we help you assess the compliance implications and set up appropriate guardrails.

Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Windsurf. We handle SSO integration, policy configuration, autonomous agent setup, custom rules, and MCP server integration. The goal is every engineer using AI tools within your security and compliance framework.

3 to 6 weeks from kickoff to production, depending on GPU availability and model selection. You get a fully operational, OpenAI-compatible API endpoint running on your own infrastructure with monitoring, load testing, and a complete operations runbook.

That's what AI Workflow Automation is for. We map your processes, design AI-augmented workflows, and deploy self-hosted n8n by default. If you prefer a provider-hosted workflow platform, we document that exception before implementation. Most engagements start from $5,000 and complete in 2 to 4 weeks.

The AI Workflow Automation engagement starts at $5,000. It's the fastest way to get a production AI workflow running. For a broader assessment, book a free 30-minute call and we'll scope what makes sense for your team.
