RunForge Launch Announcement

RunForge Engineering3 min read

We've been heads-down for a while. Today, RunForge is open for business.

We're a small, senior team based in Australia, and we work with engineering teams that need real help with their infrastructure. Not slide decks. Not strategy. Systems you can actually run on Monday morning.

What we do

Two things.

The first is platform engineering: the work of building the systems your developers run on. Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, observability. The machinery that makes shipping software faster and safer without introducing a new pile of footguns. We run structured engagements that take a team from wherever they are today to a platform they can own and operate.

The second is AI services: running AI where it matters, on infrastructure you control, with data that stays in the country. We deploy private LLM environments, build tooling that connects those models to internal systems, and automate workflows that used to be too labour-intensive to bother touching.

Why we started this

We kept seeing the same problems.

Teams that had outgrown their infrastructure and didn't know where to begin fixing it. Engineering groups spending more time minding their own tools than building anything users would notice. Businesses that wanted to use AI but couldn't stomach sending sensitive data off to an offshore API.

We've spent years doing this work at big companies and inside fast-moving startups. RunForge is how we bring it to teams that need it but can't plausibly hire a fifteen-person platform crew of their own.

How we work

We don't do retainers for the sake of retainers. We do fixed-scope engagements with clear deliverables, followed by ongoing support for teams that want it.

Platform Engineering starts with an assessment of where you are, then moves through a structured build phase. At the end, you have working infrastructure and documentation you can hand to any engineer on your team.

AI Services follows the same shape. We start with the actual use cases, then design and deploy infrastructure that fits them. No lock-in, no mystery boxes.

Data sovereignty

One thing we care about in particular: Australian businesses being able to use AI without handing their data to overseas providers. We deploy on Australian infrastructure, we build with data residency in mind from day one, and we design systems that hold up to the compliance checks your legal team is going to run.

That isn't a niche concern. It's a basic operational requirement for healthcare, finance, government, and anyone else who handles sensitive customer data.

Get in touch

If any of this sounds like where your team is right now, we'd like to hear from you. The contact form is the easiest way in, or you can book a 30-minute call directly from the site.

We're looking forward to the work.
